Dr Dominika Lisiecka Clinical Director / Senior Speech and Language Therapist

PhD, MSc SLT, CORU registered

Dominika obtained her MSc in Speech & Language Therapy in 2003 and a PhD in Medicine and Health in 2018. Dominika’s professional experience includes a variety of disability and acute services for babies, children and adults. At Kerry SLT clinic, Dominika provides services for children with feeding difficulties and autism, and adults with voice difficulties and acquired swallowing and communication disorders. Dominika also works as an academic lecturer at Munster Technological University Kerry and has a special interest in research. Dominika was awarded a Research Fellowship from the Health Research Board in Ireland (2015 – 2018). Dominika is passionate about neurology and she completed a 12-month post-doc in the field of advanced dementia and is currently an advisor on a DiaMoND study in the UK (Motor Neurone Disease). Dominika is currently a Senior Associate with and an Adjunct Assistant Professor in Trinity College Dublin.

David O'Shea Practice Manager & Senior Speech / Language Therapist

MSc by Research, BSc (Hons) SLT, CORU registered

David joined Kerry Speech and Language Therapy Clinic in November 2016. He obtained his undergraduate honours degree in Speech and Language Therapy in 2016 from University College Cork. David completed his Masters by research, which examined “Parents’ experiences and expectations of Speech and Language Therapy services for autistic children in Munster”, in 2022 at the Munster Technological University, Kerry Campus. David is currently completing a Professional Diploma in Intermediary Studies at the University of Limerick, which will allow him to support vulnerable individuals throughout their interactions with the criminal justice system in Ireland. At Kerry SLT Clinic, David is the Practice Manager and one of our Senior Speech and Language Therapists. David provides services to autistic children and adults, individuals with an intellectual disability and children and adults with a stammer or acquired speech, language and swallowing difficulties.

Patricia Fletcher Senior Speech & Language Therapist

MA, BSc, MIASLT, CORU registered

Tricia joined Kerry Speech and Language Clinic in November 2022. She received a B.S. in Speech Pathology and Audiology in 2001, and completed her Graduate degree, receiving a M.A. in Communication Sciences and Disorders, passing with distinction, and receiving a graduate student award, in 2004 in the U.S. Tricia has vast experience working in paediatrics (Birth to 21 years) in a variety of settings, including, but not limited to, private clinics, child-care facilities, private and public schools, home-based services, and virtually through teletherapy She is a member of the Irish Association of Speech and Language Therapists (IASLT), and her qualification is recognised and registered by CORU. At Kerry SLT Clinic, Tricia provides assessment, intervention, and family support for a variety of acquired, developmental and neurological presentations, as well as feeding disorders, both in-person as well as via teletherapy.

Emma O'Connor Acting Senior Speech & Language Therapist

BSc (Hons) SLT, MIASLT, CORU registered

Emma joined Kerry Speech and Language Clinic in November 2021. She obtained her Honours degree in Speech and Language Therapy from University College Cork (UCC). During her time in UCC, she gained experience working with children and adults in a wide range of settings including primary care, schools, rehabilitation clinics, and residential care units. Emma has experience in the assessment, diagnosis and management of speech, language and communication needs in children and adults. Emma is also dysphagia competent and has gained experience in the evaluation and management of feeding, eating, drinking and swallowing disorders (FEDS). Emma is registered with CORU, the regulatory body for Health & Social Care professionals in Ireland and is a member of the Irish Association of Speech & Language Therapists (IASLT) in addition to various Special Interest Groups. She is an enthusiastic and dedicated Speech and Language Therapist who enjoys working closely with the individual as well as their family/caregiver. Emma is also passionate about person-centred, evidence-based practice and ensuring each individual receives quality care.

Lorraine Hanrahan Speech & Language Therapist

BSc (Hons) SLT, MIASLT, CORU registered

Lorraine joined Kerry Speech and Language Therapy Clinic in October 2022. She obtained her undergraduate First-Class Honours degree in Speech and Language Therapy from University College Cork. During the course, Lorraine gained experience working with both children and adults across a variety of settings, both online and face-to-face, including primary care settings, schools and residential care units for adults with intellectual disability. Lorraine has experience in the assessment, diagnosis and management of speech and language needs in both children and adults including those with intellectual disability, speech sound delay/disorder, language delay and neurodiverse clients. Lorraine is registered with CORU and is a member of the Irish Association of Speech and Language Therapists (IASLT). She is passionate about providing client-centred, evidence-based care. Lorraine works closely with parents, guardians and other professionals, ensuring that the needs of clients are met, and the appropriate supports are in place. She is dedicated to furthering her own professional development and keeping up to date with new evidence.

Michelle Moynihan Speech & Language Therapist

Michelle joined Kerry Speech and Language Therapy Clinic in November 2022. She obtained her undergraduate Honours Degree in Speech and Language Therapy from University College Cork. While undertaking her degree in U.C.C., Michelle gained experience working with children and adults both in person and through teletherapy. She has experience working across primary care, schools and rehabilitation settings. Michelle is registered with CORU and is a member of the Irish Association of Speech and Language Therapists (IASLT). She is committed to continuously furthering her professional development to deliver therapy complying with the most recent evidence.
