Emma O' Connor
Emma joined Kerry Speech and Language Clinic in November 2021. She obtained her Honours degree in Speech and Language Therapy from University College Cork (UCC). During her time in UCC, she gained experience working with children and adults in a wide range of settings including primary care, schools, rehabilitation clinics, and residential care units.
Emma has experience in the assessment, diagnosis and management of speech, language and communication needs in children and adults. Emma is dysphagia competent and has experience in the evaluation and management of feeding, eating, drinking and swallowing disorders (FEDS).
Emma is registered with CORU, the regulatory body for Health & Social Care professionals in Ireland and is a member of the Irish Association of Speech & Language Therapists (IASLT) She is an enthusiastic and dedicated Speech and Language Therapist who enjoys working closely with the individual as well as their family/caregiver. Emma is also passionate about person-centred, evidence-based practice and ensuring each individual receives quality care.
